Through
providing management accounting services we aim to assist our clients in
meeting their business goals. This means providing ongoing assistance in a
wide range of areas including; growing or refining their business to improve
business returns, gaining access to new markets, diversifying their
operations, planning for the future, evaluating and appraising a new
opportunity, providing and critiquing timely financial data.
We also provide regular assistance to our clients when they are dealing with
third parties, such as the Rural Assistance Authority, Centrelink and
financiers. We help to ensure that they gain access to any entitlements and
assistance for which they may be eligible.
For some clients, our management accounting services extend to management of
their fortnightly payroll and HR system. We also provide an efficient
bookkeeping service through our team of highly skilled personnel. Our
bookkeepers have experience in agriculture and agri-services.

Succession
Planning
Families dominate business ownership in the agricultural sector and it is
natural that many families want to pass the business/farm onto the next
generation. The reality is, however, that only one in three businesses
successfully manage the transition to the second generation. Every succession
story is different, but there are some things that apply to most. Our firm
has developed programs to help guide families through the succession planning
process. We provide assistance with not only the structural and legislative
issues of succession planning but also the people issues, such as
understanding business and personal goals and assessing strengths and
weaknesses of family members. We have alliances with other professionals,
such as lawyers, to provide a one-stop shop for the entire process. We also
undertake periodic reviews of the plans we have put in place.

Compliance
and Tax Planning
We
attend to the preparation and lodgement of financial statements and taxation
returns on our client’s behalf. We are registered tax agents. Our goal is to
provide returns in a timely manner and review them with our clients to assist
them in managing business performance. We also assist clients in meeting
their GST obligations.
Farm Plan Plus has experience in assisting clients in managing their other
regulatory requirements. When engaged to do so, we have reviewed clients’ compliance
with Employee Awards and have also negotiated Workplace Agreements on behalf
of our clients. We can also refer clients to specialists to assist them in
complying with other legislation such as Workplace Health & Safety.

Debt
Structuring
Our people have a strong background in the finance sector. As such we are
well positioned to assist clients in managing their finance structure. We
regularly prepare finance applications for clients for tendering to the banks.
We also conduct reviews of client’s finance structures and make
recommendations in this regard. It is our firm’s policy not to accept
payments or commissions from any third party provider. Our service and
recommendations are therefore uncompromised in terms of independence. We do,
however, have a number of contacts within the industry to which we can refer
matters. This often means that our client’s achieve better outcomes then if
they were negotiating on their own.

System
Design
Our firm is not locked into providing or recommending one IT solution for all
businesses. We understand that all businesses have different requirements and
IT should be there to support your business. We assist clients in selecting
and implementing IT solutions to meet their requirements. We also look at
maximizing the integration between separate components of your business. For
example, integration of your herd management/farm planning software with your
accounting software to provide a ‘whole of business’ approach to reporting
and management.
Our system design skills are not limited to IT. We have also assisted clients
in designing and maintaining Quality Assurance programs. This has encompassed
a review of the operation, design of procedures and documentation of
procedures. This type of system design can be extremely powerful in the
agricultural sector as it can open up access to markets and premiums that
would have previously been outside your reach.

Maintenance
As a reflection of the growing trend of our clients establishing their own
websites, we have recently expanded our services to include a website
maintenance service.
Our staff is able to ensure that your site is updated as and when you need it
to be. It is commonly accepted within the information technology sector that
